- Amumu's Q and R Stun can interrupt Malzahar's R (Suppress). Note: This is only possible when Malzahar does not have his passive shield.
- Amumu's Q is affected by Malzahar's Q Silence, but can still move if the dash phase activates. However, damage is applied and Silence remains active.
- If Amumu is hit by Malzahar's R Suppress during Q's throw phase and the dash phase activates, Amumu can still move. If Amumu moves beyond Malzahar's R maximum range, Suppress is also lifted.
- If Amumu is hit by Malzahar's R Suppress during Q's dash phase, Amumu stops immediately.

- •R cannot be used while Q is in flight
- •Q is split into two phases: throwing phase / dash phase. Even if hit by CC during the throwing phase, if the bandage connects, the dash phase activates and Amumu still moves. However, the CC remains active.
- •Q appears to have a maximum follow distance/time — roughly the distance between the 1st and 2nd mid lane towers.
- •There is a delay (wind-up) between pressing the R button and the skill being activated.
